Kiewit Innovation & Training Center Signage Testimonial
Signworks just finished a large project for the new Kiewit Innovation and Training Center at 1450 Mike Fahey Street in downtown Omaha.
During the process we worked alongside Alan Lincoln, Real Estate Manager at Kiewit Corporation.
"We were referred to Signworks from another department from within Kiewit who works with them on other projects and is very happy with the company's work," Lincoln said.
The first step in the process was to discuss their overall goal for the new building and to keep that top of mind during designing, fabricating and installing their various signage.
"Our goal was to bring old and new together, incorporate the products and materials that were used in the construction," Lincoln mentioned, "And to showcase all the trades that were involved."
We then began designing exterior channel letters, a reception sign, interior ADAs, projecting restroom signs, and custom room signs.
"Signworks understood our idea from the beginning and worked seamlessly with the other vendors during construction," Lincoln continued.
We fabricated and installed (1) set of 3'-2'' high x 14'- 5-5 3/4'' wide aluminum halo-lit illuminated "Kiewit" channel letters mounted to a precast panel with 1 1/2'' stand-offs.
"It was designed to see from the street and they accomplished that," Lincoln said, "It looks really nice from outside, especially at night. It's a great piece of branding for our company.
The interior reception wall received 1'-6'' high x 6'-1 1/2'' wide "Kiewit" flat cut out acrylic letters painted yellow and installed flush mount to a 7'-8 1/2'' high x 2'-4'' wide painted acrylic background panel.
We also furnished and installed ADA compliant signs, custom room signs, office signs with inserts and projecting restroom signs.
"We have already had a great deal of positive feedback from with the Kiewit community," Lincoln expressed, "Everyone seems to love the signage."
Besides the design and project management, Kiewit was also impressed with our installers.
"They were very professional and polite," Lincoln said, "They did an outstanding job for us and we are already planning for the next project with Signworks."
