Silver Letters on Sterling Ridge
The main entrance signs leading in to Lockwood Development's Sterling Ridge development is a sure indicator that businesses soon will be opening. The new 153 acre multi-use site will be filled with an assortment of destinations. Signworks installed letters on the brick entrance walls as well as the building of Millard Refrigerated Services' new headquarters.
The Sterling Ridge entrance letters were mounted to a wall that will feature a beautiful water display designed by HBA Architects. The display will feature fountains and is sure to be a warm and inviting threshold to the property that will be home to office, retail and residential space as well as the Tri-Faith Initiative.
Signworks designed and installed these 31 ½” tall reverse LED illuminated channel letters on either side of the entrance to Sterling Ridge.
One aspect of this project that was unique and fun for the Signworks team was determining the radius of the raceway. A raceway is the housing for the electrical wiring. This particular raceway is mounted on the back of the curved brick wall. We collaborated with the architect’s rendering to make a paper template to be verified onsite. We tweaked a few precise measurements based on the actual dimensions of the finished masonry, then cut the aluminum on our router table and finished it up on the workbench then the paint booth. We ended up with a practical and snug solution to a unique detail.
This set of Millard Refrigerated Services letters are one of two sets we are installing and are of stainless steel construction working as non-illuminated fabricated identification letters with a 50” tall logo.
We look forward to watching the progress of this development and appreciate being able to work with Lockwood Development on this and future projects.
