Apartment Boom in Omaha
If you've noticed a boom in construction of new apartment complexes in Omaha, you're not alone. Regardless of the area of town, new complexes are popping up all over Omaha.
According to several recent surveys, more millenials are opting to rent over buying a new home. At the end of 2022, the rental vacancy rate in Nebraska was 5.9%, 1.7% below the national average. In the Omaha metro area, the rental vacancy rate is 3.2%, down 32% from the previous year.
Millennials are waiting longer to settle down, get married, and choose a permanent place to live. Coupled with rising interest rates and mortgages, it makes sense that renting is a more appealing option for young people.
Signworks has been involved in many new apartment complex projects, everything from monument and exterior signage to complete wayfinding throughout the buildings.
We recently partnered with Metonic Real Estate Solutions for comprehensive signage for two new complexes-Ascend on 75 in Bellevue and Ravello 192 Apartments in Omaha.
Other Signworks apartment projects can be seen in some of our blogs. Click here for more details.
Great exterior signage plays a key role in making a first impression for a property. Interior signage goes a long way in making residents and guests feel at home, and Signworks is the expert when it comes to wayfinding signage, particularly in multi-building complexes.
The Signworks team is ready to assist your team with comprehensive creative signage for your new apartment complex or commercial building complexes.
And, yes that is Gnome on the monument signs. Signworks' own, Robert captures another finished project with a Gnome indicating our work has been complete.
