Burlington Rail & Commerce Building Testimonial
Our roots run deep in the Omaha community. Founded in 1935, Signworks has remained a family-owned company, dedicated to serving the Omaha community for more than eight decades, and we love to be involved in projects that honor the history of Omaha.
The Burlington Rail and Commerce Building sits just south of the Old Market at 950 S. 10th St. The building, formerly the United States Postal Annex, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It sat empty for nearly 40 years before being purchased by Omaha-based construction company Boyd Jones in 2013.
Boyd Jones recently completed the renovation of the building that now includes their national heardquarters, Warren Distribution, and multiple leasing tenants.
"We initially called on Signworks to help us develop an efficient parking plan that would accomodate multiple existing tenants," said Terry White, senior vice-president at Boyd Jones, "They helped us prepare for our ribbon-cutting on short notice and they delivered a plan for directional signs that appeared permanent and professional."
We worked with Boyd Jones to develop a cohesive strategy for signage throughout the interior and exterior of the building. With new contruction or renovations, we recommend incorporating your signage plan into the initial design and White agrees. "Signworks was instrumental in bringing vision and creativity to the project," he said, "They brought ideas that we could work from, and they took the time to really understand what we needed."
"We take signage for granted, but signs are a reflection of who you are," said White, "Working with Signworks got us what we really wanted and not just what we needed."
If you're in the market for a signage overhaul for a historic building in Omaha or a new business, we'd love to assist and bring in our creativity and expertise. Call our sales team today at 402-346-5447.
